The elves are fair and fey
with many words they cannot say.
They dance in silent music of the night,
shunning the truth of bright light.
Do not cross one of the Fair folk
for they are not of our yolk.
They do not easily forget and forgive,
Beware their gifts you may receive,
That of dwelling in eternal dream,
in their world to sing till they deem
That their hate has some respite gained,
That to the world they'd have you lain;
out to freedom they promise you first,
until you find Time has satisfied its insatiable thirst.
