Ice-Eternal Escape

She is entombed in ice,
serene as sleep can suffice.
For peace is all she needs
as in her dreams she greedily feeds.

Eternal frost clouds the frigid coffin
until we can no longer see the remnants of her sin
that of smiling as she went to her grave,
that in seeking death her youth she gave.

The ice preserves her youthful body,
one without breath and spirit custody.
Encased in ice are her hopes for escape,
since time immemorial are her fears of screams agape.
